Sweet,spongy, creamy lip -licking chocolate cake is the most craved recipe of the kids as well as adults. This classic cake is especially delicious with whipped cream or mousse.

Take a mixing bowl, add 2.5 tbsp butter, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract and whisk well.
Further, add 3 tbsp powdered sugar and whisk again.
Sieve 1/2 cup maida, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/4th tsp baking soda and 2 tsp cocoa powder in the mixing bowl.
Pouring in a little water fold the mix well.
Coat a steel tin with 1/2 tsp oil and 1/2 tsp maida.
Pour the batter in the tin making sure it is levelled, put it for baking at 180 degree Celsius for 25 minutes.
After 25 minutes, check with a toothpick if the cake is done.
Garnish with a sprinkle of cocoa powder.
Serve fresh and warm.
