Chicken Soup Recipe

Purely a soul food, everyone has their own favourite version of a chicken soup. Rarely have so few ingredients added up to so much comfort. It is super nourishing and ideal for an upset stomach or during sickness. Presence chicken makes it rich in protein and super satisfying.

1.0 Chopped Tbsp(8.0 gm) Onion
1.0 Chopped Tsp(0.92 gm) Coriander Leaves
1/2 Chopped Tsp(1.0 gm) Ginger
1/2 Chopped Tsp(1.0 gm) Garlic
1/4 Tsp(0.37 gm) Garam Masala
1/4 Powder Tsp(0.75 gm) Black Pepper
1/8 Tsp(0.54 gm) Salt
1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Butter
130.0 Ml(130.0 ml) Water
  • Melt 1/2 tsp butter in a frying pan at a low flame and add 1 tbsp chopped onion.

  • Once the onions turn transparent, add 1/2 tsp chopped garlic along with 1/2 tsp chopped ginger and sauté.

  • Once they are slightly browned, add chopped chicken and sauté.

  • Once slightly cooked, add a little water.

  • Allowing the soup to simmer, add 1/8 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp black pepper powder, 1/4 tsp garam masala powder and mix well.

  • Cover and cook for a few more minutes.

  • Once the chicken becomes tender, uncover and add 1 tsp of chopped coriander leaves.

  • Serve hot.
