Chicken Salna Gravy Recipe

This dish is simply scrumptious in taste. It is well garnished with chopped coriander leaves. The best part of this chicken dish is that it is marinated with lemon juice which gives it a different touch and taste as well. this Spicy chicken salna made with homemade masala paste and spices.The home ground masala with coconut and fennel forms the base of the curry.

  • Heat a small pan, add 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp sauf beej, 1/2 inch stick of cinnamon, 2 cloves, 1/2 star anise, 1.5 tbsp grated fresh coconut and dry roast.

  • Grind the mixture with water to make a smooth paste.

  • Take a kadhai and heat 2 tsp oil.

  • Add 2 kadi pattas, 1 tbsp chopped onions and saute till translucent.

  • Then add 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1 tbsp chopped tomatoes, 75 gm chicken pieces and mix well.

  • To the chicken mixture, add the prepared masala paste, 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, 1/4th tsp garam masala powder, 1/4th tsp salt and sauté well.

  • Add water as required, cover and cook the chicken till it is done.

  • Serve hot.
