Chicken Masala Recipe

Traditional non-vegetarian, Masala Chicken is a delicious concoction of flavorful spices and tender chicken. This North Indian chicken dish goes well with rice, chapati or butter naan and is ideal for special occasions.

1.0 Chopped Tbsp(8.0 gm) Onion
1.0 Chopped Tbsp(13.0 gm) Tomato
2.0 Chopped Tsp(2.0 gm) Coriander Leaves
1/2 Tsp(3.0 gm) Ginger Garlic Paste
1/4 Tsp(0.59 gm) Jeera
1/4 Powder Tsp(0.54 gm) Red Chilly
1/4 Tsp(0.6 gm) Haldi
1/4 Tsp(0.37 gm) Garam Masala
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
2.0 Tsp(7.0 ml) Oil
50.0 Ml(50.0 ml) Water
  • In a kadhai, heat 2 tsp oil

  • Add 1/4 tsp jeera and allow to crackle

  • Add 1 tbsp chopped onion and saute till golden brown

  • Add 1 tbsp chopped tomato and fry

  • Now, add 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1/4th tsp chilly powder, 1/4th tsp haldi, 1/4th tsp garam masala, and 1/4th tsp salt

  • Then, add 50 gm chicken pieces and coat well in spices.

  • Add sufficient water to adjust consistency, stir and allow to cook.

  • Garnish with 2 tsp chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan.
