Chicken Afghani Recipe

1/4 Cup(28.0 gm) Onion (Chopped)

1 Tbsp(13.0 gm) Cashewnut (Paste)

1 Tbsp(16.0 gm) Khas Khas (Paste)

1 Tsp(5.0 gm) Ginger Garlic Paste
ingredients
1 Tsp(1.0 gm) Garam Masala

1/4 Tsp(0.6 gm) Haldi
ingredients
1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Salt

1.5 Tbsp(12.0 ml) Oil

As Required(50.0 ml) Water
  • Heat 1.5 tbsp oil in a thick bottom vessel, to that heated oil, add 1/4 cup chopped onion.

  • Saute the onions, once it turns translucent add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and allow the raw smell of ginger goes.

  • Now, add 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp garam masala, 1/4th tsp haldi and saute well.

  • Add 2 tbsp curd, 1 tbsp khas khas paste and 1 tbsp cashew nut paste mix all the masalas well and roast till it oil starts oozing from the masala.

  • Now, add 50 gm chicken pieces and saute well

  • Add water to adjust consistency, cover the vessel and allow the chicken to cook.

  • Garnish with some freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or naan!
