Cheese Ragi Uttapam With Sesame Coconut Chutney Recipe

Cheese Ragi Uttapam Recipe is a variation of the traditional Uttapam recipe. Adding ragi and lots of cheese makes this Uttapam filling nutritious, making it an excellent tiffin dish. It is served with coconut chutney, which provides a good source of healthy fats and makes the meal complete and nutrient dense.

  • For sesame coconut chutney

  • In a pan, roast 1 tsp white til.

  • Then add the roasted til, 2 tbsp dry coconut in a mixie.

  • Blend it with little water.

  • For tempering of the chutney

  • In a pan, add 1/2 tsp oil, add 1/4 tsp rai, 1 red chilly, 4 curry leaves and 1/8 tsp hing.

  • Saute it well.

  • Add it to the chutney.

  • For preparing the uttapam

  • In a bowl, add the batter, 2 tsp ragi and mix it well.

  • Take a frying pan, add 1 tsp oil.

  • Spread the oil on the pan.

  • Pour the batter and spread it.

  • Spread 1/2 tbsp grated cheese on the batter.

  • Cover the pan with a lid & cook it.

  • Flip the uttapam and cook on the other side.

  • Serve hot with the sesame coconut chutney.
