Cheese Carrot Squares Recipe

Cheese Carrot Squares are a great source of calcium, protein and fat. It also contains high amounts of vitamins A and B-12, along with other minerals. Also carrots are a good source of vitamin A which adds an innovative twist to a basic square.

2 Tbsp(26.0 gm) Wheat Flour (Whole)
2 Tbsp(19.0 gm) Carrot(Grated)
1 Tbsp(8.0 gm) Onion(Chopped)
2 Tbsp(8.0 gm) Cheese(Grated)
1/2 Tsp(3.0 gm) Ginger Garlic Paste
1/4 Tsp(0.37 gm) Garam Masala
1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Green Chilli Paste
1/8 Tsp(0.29 gm) Haldi
1/8 Tsp(0.54 gm) Salt
1 Tsp(3.0 ml) Oil
1/8 Tsp(0.54 gm) Salt
50 Ml(50.0 ml) Water
  • For Mixture

    Heat 1 tsp oil, add 1 tbsp chopped onion.

  • Saute till golden brown, now add 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1/2 tsp green chilli paste, 2 tbsp grated carrot,1/8 tsp haldi,1/8 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp garam masala and water.

  • Mix Well , add water as required.

  • Add 1 tbsp grated cheese, mix well, cover and cook until done.

  • For Dough

    In 2 tbsp wheat flour, 1 tbsp maida and 1/8 tsp salt.

  • Add water as required and knead Into dough.

  • Roll out using rolling pin.

  • Add mixture and make square pockets & seal.

  • Brush the nonstick pan with oil and roast on both sides till golden brown.

  • Serve hot.
