Chapati/Roti Recipe

Chapati is a delicious, thin and light Indian flatbread that is served with many different curry dishes. They are perfect accompaniment for any main dish.

0.75 Cup(109.0 gm) Wheat Flour (Whole)
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
2.0 Tsp(5.0 ml) Oil
50.0 Ml(50.0 ml) Water
  • In a mixing bowl take 3/4 cup wheat flour, 1/4 tsp salt and mix well.

  • Pouring in a little water, knead it into a soft dough.

  • Rolling it into a ball form and flatten to make it in a circular chapati shape using a rolling pin.

  • Heat a nonstick tava on a low flame and roast the chapati with 1 tsp oil on it.

  • Allowing it to cook, make sure both sides are browned well.

  • Serve hot.
