Chana Dal Fry Recipe

A dry protein rich side to be served with rotis or dal and rice adds flavor with the fresh aroma of Indian spices and makes any meal complete.

  • In a pan, heat 1 tsp oil.

  • Add 1/4th tsp jeera, 2 kadi patta leaves, 2 tbsp chopped onion, 2 tbsp chopped tomato, 1/8th tsp hing, 1/4th tsp haldi, 1/4th tsp red chilli powder, 1/4th tsp dhaina powder.

  • Soak and cook 2 tbsp chana dal and add the cooked chana dal.

  • Let it simmer, sprinkle 1/2 tsp salt.

  • Garnish with 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves.

  • Serve hot.
