Chana adds a very earthy, nutty taste to the appams making it an wholesome and healthy protein snack.
In a mixing bowl, add 3 tbsp suji, 1/4th cup Nestlé A+ Curd, 1/4th tsp salt, a little water and mix well.
In a pan, heat 1/2 tsp oil. Add 1/4th tsp rai, 1/4th tsp jeera, 3 kaddi patta, 1.5 tbsp kala chana, 1/4th tsp hing and stir.
Add the mixture the batter, 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
Take the mould and brush it with 1 tsp oil.
Cover and roast the appams.
Flip and cook both side equally.
