Carrot Cucumber Raita Recipe

This is a side dish often referred to as 'raita' in Indian cuisine. It consists of a combination of shredded cucumbers and carrots mixed in yogurt. It is extremely easy to make and can be served alongside anything !

1/2 Cup(121.0 gm) Curd

2 Tbsp(14.0 gm) Carrot(Julienne)

2 Tbsp(38.0 gm) Cucumber(Grated)
ingredients
1 Tsp(0.92 gm) Coriander Leaves(Chopped)
ingredients
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Green Chilli Paste
ingredients
1/8 Tsp(0.22 gm) Jeera Powder
ingredients
1/8 Tsp(0.27 gm) Red Chilly(Powder)
ingredients
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
  • Take a mixing bowl, pour in 1/2 cup curd and whisk properly.

  • Add 2 tbsp grated cucumber, 2 tbsp julienne carrot, 1/4th tsp green chilli paste, 1/8th tsp red chilli powder, 1/4th tsp salt, 1/8th tsp jeera powder and 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves.

  • Making sure all the ingredients are mixed evenly, transfer to a serving bowl.

  • Serve cold.
