A complete meal with antioxidant-rich vegetables and protein-rich lentils, cabbage chana dal curry is an excellent option for a balanced meal.
In a kadhai, heat 1 tsp oil.
Add 1/4th tsp each of rai, jeera, and 4 leaves of kadi patta and let it crackle.
Add 1/2 tsp grated ginger, 1/4th tsp green chilli paste, haldi.
Add cooked chana dal and mix well.
Add 1/4th cup julienned cabbage and 1/4th tsp salt, and mix well.
Add sufficient water, cover with a lid and cook.
Mix all the ingredients well.
Serve hot with roti or rice.
