This simple south Indian staple breakfast is very delicious and a complete meal on its own.
Soak 1 tbsp rice and 1 tsp urad dal, blend and ferment overnight.
In a heated pan, add prepared dosa batter.
Add 2 tsp butter on a round the dosa.
Allow it to cook, flip and cook on both sides.
For Coconut Chutney
In a blender, add 1 tbsp chopped fresh coconut, 1/2 tsp chopped ginger, 1 tbsp chana dal, 1/4th tsp tamarind paste, 1 tsp chopped green chili and 1/4th tsp salt.
Blend well till all the ingredients are combined.
Add water as required to get the desired consistency.
In a heated pan, add 1/2 tsp oil, 1/2 tsp rai and allow it to crackle.
Add 4 kadi patta leaves, 1/4th tsp urad dal and add the tadka on chutney.
Serve hot butter dosa with fresh coconut chutney.
