- Step 1 Heat a kadhai with 1/2 tsp oil, add 1/4 tsp rai, 1 red chilli, 5 kadi patta, 1 tbsp chopped onion, 1 tbsp chopped tomatoes, 2.5 brinjal pieces sliced and saute well.
- Step 2 Add 1/2 tbsp tamarind pulp, 1 tsp sambhar powder, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/8 tsp haldi and water as required.
- Step 3 Cover and cook until vegetables soften.
- Step 4 Add cooked tur dal and mix well.
- Step 5 Give it a Nestle Twist by adding black sesame seeds
- Step 6 Serve hot with rice.
