Bottlegourd Bellpepper Shorba Recipe

Shorba is a very soothing soup for cold weather! Dudhi, naturally sweet and creamy makes up for a nice warm soup with minimal spices retaining the nutrition and taste of pumpkin.

2 Chopped Tbsp(20.0 gm) Capsicum
1 Chopped Tbsp(10.0 gm) Red Capsicum
1 Chopped Tbsp(10.0 gm) Yellow Capsicum
1/2 Diced Cup(50.0 gm) Bottle Gourd
100 Ml(100.0 ml) Water
1 Tsp(4.0 gm) Butter
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
1/4 Powder Tsp(0.75 gm) Black Pepper
1 Tsp(5.0 gm) Ginger Garlic Paste
  • Heat 1 tsp butter, add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and 1/2 cup diced dudhi, 1 tbsp chopped red capsicum, 1 tbsp chopped yellow capsicum, 2 tbsp chopped green capsicum.

  • Cover and cook till soft.

  • Blend till smooth consistency

  • Put it back on the flame and add a little water along with 1/4th tsp salt and 1/4th tsp black pepper powder.

  • Simmer it for 2 min

  • Serve Warm
