- Step 1
To prepare the batter, take 2 tbsp rice and 2 tsp urad dal, add a pinch of salt, soak for 2 hours, grind it to a paste and then keep it overnight allowing it to ferment.
- Step 2
In a mixing bowl pour batter, add 1/8 bowl grated carrot, add 1/8 bowl grated bottle gourd,1 tsp chopped pudina and mix well.
- Step 3
Grease the idli mould with 1/4 tsp oil, pour a spoonful of batter in the mould and steam until the idlis are cooked.
- Step 4
Once the idlis are cooked, allow them to cool slightly, remove and transfer them to a serving platter.
- Step 5
Serve hot with coconut chutney.
