Bikaneri Poha Recipe

Relishing a bowl of freshly made poha with sprinkle of spicy sev as a breakfast or evening snack. Perfect after school snack as it provides instant energy to the kids and also keeps them hunger free for a longer period of time.

1/2 Cup(38.0 gm) Poha

1 Tbsp(10.0 gm) Peanuts

1/4 Cup(29.0 gm) Onion (Julienne)
ingredients
1/2 Tsp(1.0 gm) Green Chilli (Chopped)
ingredients
1 Tbsp(8.0 gm) Sev
ingredients
1 Tsp(4.0 ml) Lemon Juice
ingredients
1 Tsp(0.92 gm) Coriander Leaves (Chopped)

1/8 Tsp(0.3 gm) Haldi
ingredients
1/4 Tsp(0.93 gm) Rai
ingredients
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
ingredients
2 Tsp(7.0 ml) Oil
  • Take 1/2 cup poha, wash and soak it. Keep aside.

  • Heat 2 tsp oil in a frying pan and add 1/4th tsp rai.

  • Once rai starts crackling, add 1 tbsp peanuts and sauté.

  • Add 1/2 tsp chopped green chillies, 1/4th cup julienne onion and further sauté.

  • Once the onions turn slightly transparent, add 1/8th tsp haldi and mix well.

  • Add the previously soaked poha, 1/4th tsp salt and mix again.

  • Making sure all the ingredients are mixed well, add and mix 1 tsp lemon juice, 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves and transfer it to a serving plate.

  • Garnish with 1 tbsp sev.

  • Serve fresh and hot.
