Beetroot Sago Paratha Recipe

Beetroot Sago Paratha is a pink-hued layer of cooked dough stuffed with mashed sago and grated beetroot and flavoured with spices. It is roasted to perfection with a dash of ghee, making it flavorful, visually appealing, and provides your child with a daily intake of iron, fiber and vitamins.

4.0 Tbsp(30.0 gm) Wheat Flour (Whole)
2.0 Tsp(8.0 gm) Sabudana
2.0 Grated Tsp(6.0 gm) Beet Root
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Green Chilli Paste
1/4 Tsp(0.44 gm) Jeera Powder
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
2.0 Tsp(6.0 gm) Ghee
22.0 Ml(22.0 ml) Water
  • In a mixing bowl, add 3.5 tbsp wheat flour, mashed sabudana, and 2 tbsp grated beetroot.

  • Then, add 1/4th tsp each of salt, green chilly paste, and jeera powder.

  • Add sufficient water, mix well and knead into a soft dough.

  • Roll the dough ball into a paratha using a rolling pin.

  • Roast both sides of the paratha thoroughly on a heated tawa, with 1.5 tsp ghee.

  • Serve hot.
