Beet cutlet Recipe

There are few vegetables that kids do not love to eat. We have to think ways so that kids will eat it with interest. One such vegetable is Beetroot also called Beet. Beetroot is full of vitamins and minerals and packed with powerful antioxidants. Packed with essential nutrients, beetroots are a great source of fiber, folate (vitamin B9), manganese, potassium, iron and vitamin C. This healthy nutritious power pack cutlet is every kids favorite.

1/4 Tsp(0.41 gm) Dhania Powder

1/4 Tsp(0.38 gm) Red Chilly Powder

1/4 Tsp(0.6 gm) Haldi

1/2 Tsp(0.96 gm) Chaat Masala

1/4 Tsp(0.59 gm) Jeera

1/8 Tsp(0.29 gm) Ajwain

1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt

1 Tsp(3.0 ml) Oil
  • Boil 4 baby potatoes and keep aside.

  • Take a mixing bowl, add boiled potatoes, 1 tbsp grated beetroot, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1/4th tsp red chilly powder, 1/4th tsp haldi, 1/2 tsp chaat masala, 1/8th ajwain, 1/4th tsp dhania powder, 1/4th jeera, 1/4th salt and mix well with your fingers.

  • Sprinkle 1 tbsp bread crumbs and mix again.

  • Shape the mixture into 3 uniform cutlets and keep aside.

  • Take a pan and heat 1 tsp oil.

  • Shallow fry the cutlets on both the sides.

  • Serve hot with tomato ketchup and mint chutney.
