Bedmi Poori is mostly prepared by using Urad Dal. Urad Dal is an energy booster as its iron content is quite high. Moreover, it improves digestion. It is quite rich also in terms of protein.

1/4 Tsp(0.41 gm) Dhania Powder

1/4 Tsp(0.54 gm) Red Chilly (Powder)

1/4 Tsp(0.44 gm) Jeera Powder

1/8 Tsp(0.35 gm) Hing

1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt

2 Tsp(8.0 ml) Oil

For Frying(7.0 ml) Oil
  • For making Bedmi In a bowl add, 1/4th cup wheat flour, urad dal paste,1/4th tsp salt,1/8th tsp hing,1/4th tsp jeera powder, 1/4th tsp dhania powder,1/4th tsp red chilly powder,1/2 tsp crushed saunf, 1/5th tsp grated ginger,2 tsp oil. Mix and rub well.

  • Add water as required to knead a tight dough.

  • Take a small ball.

  • Roll out a poori.

  • Heat oil in a pan for frying.

  • Fry pooris till golden

  • Serve hot. Enjoy.
