Bedmi poori is a savoury, crispy deep-fried flatbread made with Urad Dal and homemade masalas. It makes an excellent breakfast with potato sabzi or any side dish of your choice.

1.0 Chopped Tsp(2.0 gm) Green Chilli
1/2 Grated Tsp(0.94 gm) Ginger
1/2 Tsp(1.0 gm) Saunf
1/4 Tsp(0.41 gm) Dhania Powder
1/4 Powder Tsp(0.54 gm) Red Chilly
1/4 Tsp(0.44 gm) Jeera Powder
1/8 Tsp(0.35 gm) Hing
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
2.0 Tsp(7.0 ml) Oil
5.0 Tbsp(41.0 ml) Oil
60.0 Ml(60.0 ml) Water
  • In a bowl add, 1/2 cup wheat flour, prepared urad dal paste, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/8 tsp hing, 1/4 tsp jeera powder, 1/4 tsp dhania powder, 1/4 tsp red chilly powder, crushed saunf, 1/2 tsp grated ginger, 2 tsp oil, 1 tsp chopped green chilli, mix well.

  • Knead a tight dough.

  • Take a small ball and roll out a poori.

  • Heat oil in a pan for frying and fry pooris till golden.

  • Serve hot. Enjoy.
