Beans Thoran Recipe

Beans Thoran is a simple and nutritious coconut based vegetable that is best served with rice. The fibrous and antioxidant rich vegetable along with a vivid mix of spices enhances the palate as well as the gut.

1/2 Cup(61.0 gm) French Beans (Chopped)

1 Tbsp(6.0 gm) Fresh Coconut(Grated)

1/8 Tsp(0.3 gm) Haldi

1/4 Tsp(0.93 gm) Rai

5 No.(0.55 gm) Kadi Patta

1 No.(2.0 gm) Green Chilli(Chopped)

1 No.(0.75 gm) Red Chilly

2 No.(3.0 gm) Garlic
ingredients
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt

1 Tsp(3.0 ml) Oil
  • For coconut paste

    Blend together, 1 tbsp grated fresh coconut 1 green chilli (chopped), 2 garlic cloves, and 5 kadi patta pieces.

  • Keep aside.

  • For bhaji

    In a kadhai, heat 1 tsp oil.

  • To that add 1/4th tsp rai, 1 red chilli, 1/2 cup chopped french beans, 1/4th tsp haldi and saute well.

  • Now add the coconut mixture and 1/4th tsp salt. Mix well.

  • Serve hot.
