Bean Sundal Recipe

Sundal is a South Indian stir fried dish stir fried with legume-lentil preparation spiced, tempered along with fresh coconut. A simple dish rich in plant based protein, very easy to prepare that makes for a healthy brunch or snack.

1/4 Tsp(0.53 gm) Green Chilli(Chopped)

1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Black Urad Dal

1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Rai

1/10 Tsp(0.29 gm) Hing

1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt

2 Tsp(7.0 ml) Oil
  • Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan.

  • Add 1/2 tsp urad dal, 1/4th tsp rai, 4 curry leaves, 1/10th tsp hing, 1/4th tsp chopped green chillies and cooked rajma and saute. Add 1/4 tsp salt, 2 tsp desiccated coconut and mix well. Cover and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.

  • Garnish with coriander leaves and sundal is ready to be served.
