Bajra Peas Bhakri Recipe

Bajra pea bhakhri is a stuffed flatbread made with deliciously spiced mashed peas and bajra as the main ingredient. Because peas are high in protein , this bread is an excellent protein-packed accompaniment to any vegetable.

4.0 Flour Tbsp(31.0 ml) Bajra
1.0 Boiled Tbsp(11.0 gm) Fresh Peas
2.0 Chopped Tsp(3.0 gm) Green Garlic
1/4 Tsp(0.73 gm) White Til
1/8 Tsp(0.35 gm) Hing
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
0.75 Tsp(3.0 gm) Ghee
15.0 Ml(15.0 ml) Water
  • Boil and mash 1 tbsp peas.

  • In a mixing bowl, take 4 tbsp bajra flour, 1 tbsp boiled mashed peas, 1/4 tsp white til, 2 tsp chopped green garlic, 1/4 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp hing.

  • Mixing it properly with hand, add a little water and knead it into a dough and roll it into a bowl.

  • Coating it very lightly with bajra flour, flatten it and make it in a circular roti shape.

  • Heat a nonstick tava on a low flame and roast the roti on it. Flip and spread 3/4 tsp ghee on the roti.

  • Allowing it to cook, make sure both sides are browned well.

  • Serve hot.
