  • In a pan, heat 1 tsp oil, add1/4th tsp jeera and allow to crackle.

  • Add 1 tbsp of chopped onion, and saute till golden brown.

  • Then, add 1 tbsp each of chopped tomato, and grated carrot and green peas and mix well.

  • Add 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, 1/4th tsp each of haldi and salt and saute.

  • Next, add soaked bajra, and 1 tbsp tur dal.

  • Add sufficient water and 1 tbsp of chopped coriander leaves on top

  • Cover the pressure cooker with its lid and cook for up to 4 whistles.

  • Serve hot with your choice of accompaniments.
