- Step 1 Heat a pressure cooker with 1 tsp coconut oil, add 1/4 tsp jeera, kadi patta ,1 tbsp chopped onion and saute until light brown.
- Step 2 Give it a Nestle Twist by adding methi seeds
- Step 3 Add 1 tbsp each of chopped tomato, grated carrot and fresh peas and mix well.
- Step 4 Add 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, 1/4 tsp each of haldi, salt for taste and saute.
- Step 5 Add soaked bajra and moong dal.
- Step 6 Add water as required and pressure cook until 3 whistles
- Step 7 Open the lid and fluff up the khichdi
- Step 8 Garnish with 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- Step 9 Serve hot
