Almond Barfi is a delectable Indian dessert that is high in energy and can be easily made at home when being mindful of the portion size.
Per Serving: 1 Number - 40.0 gm
- Carbohydrate 8.70 gm
- Protein 4.76 gm
- Fat 18.97 gm
- Fiber 2.85 gm
- Step 1
For the sugar syrup add 2.5 tbsp sugar, water as required, stir continuously on a low flame. Boil the sugar syrup until it thickens.
- Step 2
Add the prepared almond powder, 1 tbsp Ghee, 2 tbsp Khoa and 1/8th tsp cardamom powder.
- Step 3
Mix continuously on low to medium flame.
- Step 4
Continue to mix continuously until the mixture starts to leave the pan.
- Step 5
Transfer the badam dough onto the butter paper and allow it to cool for 5 minutes.
- Step 6
Grease your hand with little ghee and knead for a minute.
- Step 7
Once you get a smooth dough, roll the dough with a rollingpin, add 2 tbsp chopped badam on the barfi and cut the dough into square shape or the shape you wish for.
- Step 8
You can also decorate with silver leaf/silver vark.
