Melt 1 tsp butter in a frying pan at a low flame, add 2 tbsp chopped onion and sauté.
Once the onions are golden brown add 1/2 cup chopped potato, 1/2 cup chopped asparagus and mix well.
Pour in the required amount of water, cover and allow it to cook.
Once cooked, pour it in a blender and blend it to a puree form.
Take a fresh frying pan and heat it on a low flame.
Pour in the puree along with 1/2 cup milk, 1/4th tsp salt, 1/8th tsp black pepper powder and mix well.
Stirring the soup well, bring it to a boil and allow it to cook for a few more minutes.
Garnish with a sprinkle of black pepper powder.
