Apple Barley Porridge Without Sugar Recipe

High fiber and protein rich wholesome grain barley, also known as jau offers a nice chewy texture. Apple imparts a refreshing flavor and makes it a very fulfilling meal for any hour of the day.

1.0 Cup(204.0 ml) Nestlé A+ Milk
1/4 Diced Cup(39.0 gm) Apple
0.13 Cup(27.0 gm) Barley
1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Ghee
  • Heat 1 tsp ghee in a frying pan at a low flame and add soaked barley.

  • Once slightly reduced, add 1/4 cup diced apple and pour in 1 cup Nestlé A+ Milk.

  • Allow the Nestlé A+ Milk to simmer for a few minutes.

  • Once fully cooked turn off the flame and transfer to a serving bowl.

  • Garnish with almond slices.

  • Serve hot .
