Apple Barley Porridge Without Sugar Recipe

High Fiber and Protein rich wholesome grain Barley also known as Jau offers a nice chewy texture. Apple imparts a refreshing flavor and makes it a very fulfilling meal for any hour of the day.

1 Cup(204.0 ml) Nestlé A+ Milk
1/4 Cup(39.0 gm) Apple (Diced)
1/4 Cup(25.0 gm) Barley
1 Tsp(4.0 gm) Ghee
  • Soak 1/4th cup barley and keep aside.

  • Melt 1 tsp ghee in a frying pan at a low flame and add 1/4th cup soaked barley.

  • Once slightly reduced, add 1/4th cup diced apple and pour in 1 cup Nestlé A+ Milk.

  • Allow the Nestlé A+ Milk to simmer for a few minutes.

  • Once fully cooked take off the flame and transfer to a serving bowl.

  • Garnish with almond slices.

  • Serve hot with honey as required.
