Aloo Singara (Potato Samosa) Recipe

Aloo singara is a famous mouth watering snack of bengal. The filling of aloo singara is little spicy.In other parts of India it is commonly known as samosa also and that is almost everyones favourite also. This recipe can be with served with chutney or ketch up also. this is high is fats and carbs.

1/2 Boiled Mashed Cup(111.0 gm) Potato
1.0 Chopped Tsp(0.92 gm) Coriander Leaves
1/2 Tsp(3.0 gm) Ginger Garlic Paste
0.13 Tsp(0.21 gm) Dhania Powder
0.13 Tsp(0.18 gm) Garam Masala
0.13 Powder Tsp(0.27 gm) Red Chilly
0.13 Tsp(0.3 gm) Haldi
0.13 Tsp(0.29 gm) Ajwain
0.13 Tsp(0.56 gm) Salt
1.0 Tbsp(8.0 ml) Oil
10.0 Ml(10.0 ml) Water
  • Knead wheat flour dough and boil potato. Keep aside.

  • In a bowl add 1/2 cup boiled diced potato, 1/8th tsp salt, 1/8th tsp haldi, 1/8th tsp red chilly powder, 1/8th tsp dhania powder, 1/8th tsp garam masala, 1/8th tsp ajwain, 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste and 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves.

  • Mash and mix well.

  • Now roll the dough, add a spoon of stuffing in the centre of the rolled dough.

  • Cut into triangular shape and fold into samosa shape.

  • Deep fry the singara until golden brown.

  • Serve hot with chutneys.
