Aloo posto is one of the most favorite Bengali dish . It is mostly enjoyed with Biulir dal or Urad dal. The main ingredient of the thi recipe is poppy seed that is rich source of thiamin, folate, and several essential minerals, including calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus.
Heat 1/2 tsp mustard oil in a pan.
Add 1/4th tsp kalonji, 1/4th tsp salt, 1/4th tsp haldi, 1/2 tsp sugar and mix.
Add 2 tbsp posto paste and saute.
Add water to the pan, mix well.
Now add boiled and chopped potato and saute.
Drizzle 1/2 tsp mustard oil on the aloo posto.
Serve hot with rotis.
