Aloo Kopi Sheem Rail Chochori Paanch Phorong Diye a flavouful bengali 5 spiced(panch phorong) dish packed with antioxidant vitamin A boosting veggies like cauliflower, in delightful combination with potatoes makes this dish a sure hit with the kids either to have at home or to carry in tiffins with hot rotis.
Take a mixing bowl, make panch poran by adding 1/4th tsp each of kalonji, saunf, methi, rai, jeera and mixing properly. Keep aside.
Take a frying pan, heat 1 tsp oil and add the previously made panch poran mix.
Once the spice mix is cooked add 1 tbsp chopped onion and 1tbsp chopped tomato and sauté.
Once the onions are slightly translucent, add 1/4th tsp haldi, 1/4th tsp red chilli powder, 1/4th tsp salt and sauté.
Add 2 tbsp of boiled chopped potato and 4 cauliflower florets and mix.
Add in a little water, cover and cook until vegetables are well done.
