Allahabad Ki Tehri Recipe

An easy Indian cuisine called Allahabad ki Tehri is prepared by simmering fragrant basmati rice with different veggies, fresh herbs, spices and dry fruits in one pot. It is a flavourful, nutritious dinner and incredibly easy to prepare.

1.0 Tsp(4.0 ml) Lemon Juice
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Green Chilli Paste
8.0 Number(10.0 gm) Cashewnut
2.0 Number(0.18 gm) Black Pepper
2.0 Number(0.22 gm) Cloves
1.0 Number(0.23 gm) Green Elaichi
1.0 Number(0.3 gm) Bay Leaf
1.0 Number(1.0 gm) Star Anise
1/2 Tsp(1.0 gm) Jeera
1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Salt
2.0 Tsp(7.0 ml) Oil
2.0 Tsp(8.0 gm) Ghee
30.0 Ml(30.0 ml) Water
  • Heat 2 tsp oil in a kadai, add 2 tsp ghee, 8 cashew nuts and roast it well.

  • Add 2 cloves, 1 green elaichi, 2 whole black pepper, 1 bay leaf, 1 star anise, 1/2 tsp jeera, 2 tbsp chopped onion and saute it well.

  • Add 2 tbsp grated carrot, 2 tbsp chopped french beans, 1 tbsp cauliflower, 2 tbsp green peas

  • Saute it well

  • Add 1/2 tsp salt and mix it well

  • Cover and cook for 2 mins

  • Add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1/2 tsp green chilli paste

  • Mix it well

  • Add the cooked basmati rice

  • Mix all the ingredients gently

  • Add 1 tsp lemon juice

  • Garnish with 1 tbsp raisins

  • Serve it hot.
