Agathi Keerai Poriyal Recipe

Agathi Keerai Poriyal is a very delicious curry with aromatic flavours and the delicacy of South India. It is heavily made of hummingbird tree leaves along with a melange of basic spices, coconut and seasonal vegetables.

2 Chopped Tsp(5.0 gm) Onion
1 Number(0.75 gm) Red Chilly
0.25 Tsp(1.0 gm) Green Chilli Paste
2 Tsp(10.0 gm) Dry Coconut
150 Gm(150.0 gm) Agathi Leaves
1 Tsp(3.0 ml) Oil
0.5 Tsp(2.0 gm) Rai
1 Tsp(4.0 gm) Urad Dal
0.25 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
  • In a pan, heat 1 tsp oil.

  • Add 1/2 tsp rai, 1 tsp urad dal, 1 red chilly, 2 tsp chopped onion, 1/4th tsp green chilli paste, agathi leaves and 1/4th tsp salt.

  • Now add water and 2 tsp grated coconut.

  • Mix and serve hot.
