AskNestlé has developed the Immuno Scale for you to measure presence of Immunity boosting nutrients in Child’s Food
Once you fill in the details of the food consumed by your child, Immuno Scale would analyze the content of the food on your child’s plate and will indicate the amount of Immunity boosting nutrients in that amount of food. It would also suggest measures to improve your Child’s immunity.
The scale has four colours and would indicate-
Red (Below RDA) : the body needs nutrients in form of food daily. Consumption of these key micronutrients as per the recommended range is essential to boost up immunity in your body. You need to consume as per the below recommended range.
Yellow: you are consuming but it is low, you need to increase the intake of these key micronutrients as per the recommended range to boost up immunity in your body.
Green : you are consuming good amount of immunity boosting nutrients. Continue the same and this would help you to maintain sustained immunity.
Red (Above TUL) : Adequate consumption of these micronutrients as per the recommended range is essential. It is a myth that consuming extra amount of these nutrients would be extra beneficial and hence consume within the recommended range.

The logic for the scale is as below:
RDA for any one of the nutrient
- Consumption upto 15 % of RDA*
- Consumption from 15% to 30 % of RDA
- Consumption of 30 % and more of RDA till TUL
- Consumption above TUL**

What is RDA?
RDA is Recommended Dietary Allowance , it refers to the daily dietary nutrient intake level that is sufficient to meet the nutrient requirements of nearly all (97–98 %) healthy individuals in a particular life stage and gender group.
What is TUL?
TUL is Tolerable Upper Limit, it refers to the highest average daily nutrient intake.
As nutrient intake increases above the TUL, some may need special attention depending on the nutrient.
