- Step 1 Heat a kadhai with 1/2 tsp oil, add 1/2 tbsp grated dry coconut, 1 tbsp chopped onion and 1 tsp white til
- Step 2 Saute until light brown and set aside
- Step 3 In another kadhai, heat 1/2 tsp oil, add 1/4 tsp rai, 1/4 tsp jeera, 1/2 tsp black til, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1/2 tsp chopped red chilli, 1/4 tsp haldi and 1 tbsp chopped tomato
- Step 4 Cook until soft
- Step 5 Add the coconut mixture and mix well
- Step 6 Add 1/4 tsp hing, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp dry mango powder and mix again.
- Step 7 Add the cooked whole masoor dal and mix well.
- Step 8 Cover and cook until all flavors combine well
- Step 9 Garnish with 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- Step 10 Give it a Nestle twist by adding mixed seeds
- Step 11 Serve hot with rice
